From the Accessibility Area of the City of Oviedo,a notebook and augmentative communication board has been developed, with the aim of facilitating cognitive accessibility to all users of taxis, social services and municipal offices. They were also used in awareness campaigns with students, in fairs and congresses, as a model of alternative and augmentative communication.

This notebook and augmentative communication board, together with the user guide,are part of the Municipal Accessibility Plan “El Oviedo de las Personas” with graphic resources (sheets, pictograms, photographs and texts) to facilitate communication and relationship of citizens with the Consistory.

This measure began with the elaboration of a very simple communication sheet and due to the great acceptance by the staff of the City Council, it was expanded with suggestions and contributions from the staff itself, incorporating different sheets by theme and improving its design, making for it an easy-to-use format with base and spiral.

The notebook and the board have been made with pictograms validated by ARASAAC,and complemented with texts in Spanish and English.

Undoubtedly, another great initiative that has the support and recognition from ARASAAC.
